We always do our Easter egg hunt on the Easter Saturday. I know it is one day early, but when the boys were small, sweets were always for Saturdays and their Easter eggs were filled with sweets. So the choice of day was easy.
Three eggs were hidden yesterday, one for Marta, one for Ingrid and one for Marius. The forest behind the cabin is a perfect place for hiding.
Marta had a hard time finding hers.
Later we painted a few eggs, and dyed some. I have collected our Easter eggs for years. Most of them handmade by us. A few bought during Easter travels.
For dying we used leaves and flowers from the garden, a few nylon stockings and a red onion. Then boiled the eggs for a couple of hours.
The result?
Super! I'll show you tomorrow. Meanwhile I'd love to hear your Easter egg stories.......
