It started out nicely. Trondheim Art Museum was filled with people when the exhibition of some of Kristofer Leirdal's work opened Sunday morning. The 93 year old artist himself was also there, so was his wife, the artist Aina Thiis Leirdal. Bjørn Alterhaug played contrabass, and while his music still filled the main room, my friend and I started to walk through the museum, starting with Leirdal's work.
Leirdal has been working with cathedral stones most of his life, and if you know the Nidaros cathedral, you also know Leirdal. The exhibition showed us other sides of Leirdal's work. I fell for his delicate women.
Several rooms of the ground floor of the art museum exhibited paper art by Inger Johanne Brautaset.Paper art like you have never seen it before.

Spending a Sunday in town with a good friend, you don't want it to stop. Our safari ended abruptly, because of something happening that should not have happened! But before we hastily had to leave town, we found time for galleri-sg.
Some glass art caught my interest. Lately I've met glass everywhere. As spring unfolds you will also meet glass here in The House in the Woods. And believe me, you have alot to look forward to.
