On Sunday we closed the cabin for the season. Covered the roses, drew the curtains, stored away the outdoor furniture, wrapped memories of long mornings and nights on the terrace. It is always sentimental to close a chapter. Where will life go on from here?
For 30 years we have walked hand in hand. We know nothing of the future, but love will follow us, when we keep on walking together, and also through times when our paths divide and we walk alone for a distance.
My path is promising to take me east of the sun, and I walk with curiosity, with light steps.

I was making dinner for a full house yesterday. Øystein phoned to tell that he would come home with two student friends, Marta had a friend here from her class. I was tired from a long day at work and said to myself: "The best part about three weeks in India will be that I don't have to cook!". My thoughts kept on wandering and after a while I heard myself say to myself: "I am so much looking forward to three weeks in India. I believe the best part will be to help with the cooking". I realised that I loved the Norwegian, or actually Italian cooking I was right in the middle on, heard myself humming and had a lovely time around the table with such a bunch of youngsters. We talked, laughed, guessing games run back and forth and food was enjoyed.
Everyday blessings.
