I am a morning bird, always awake long before the alarm clock.
Mornings are my best part of the day, the part when I give myself time. I want time to breath in the new day, time to open my eyes, time to strech my arms, my feet, my whole body.
A morning walk in the garden is an important part of my day. To feed the birds, to smell the roses, to walk a prayer walk. Rain or shine, the garden is always there, waiting for me.
A morning walk is also a must when I travel, watching the sun rise in Mexico City, slowly breathing in the morning mist up in the mountains, shooting photos in the pilgrimage city of Vadstena, watching the tide on Lindisfarne.
I am a morning bird, and though I often would love to be more awake in the evenings I am forever thankful for my wee hours of the morning.

Photos: Sunday morning outside the cabin of my sister and brother in law at Røros. Whe spent a few hours there sleeping between travels, and my misty walk was a true blessing.
