Jeg gleder meg til hver ny dag (I am looking forward to every new day). In Norwegian we use the word joy as a verb, I am joying myself, which means I am looking forward to. I so much prefere the Norwegian way of saying it, as it is not only looking forward to a new day, it fills me with joy doing so.
How can I better express this in English? I need help from my English speaking readers.
Summer temperatures have found The Blue Garden and its surroundings. I sat out untill the sun said goodnight at 10pm last night. Then I lit a candle, filled a glass with white wine and sat out some more, reading the Tage Andersen book I bought in Denmark. Tage starts this book with a reflection about how he is "joying himself" towards every new day, and I felt with all my heart that these words could have been written by me.
Every day is a gift from God, I meet every new morning with curiosity. What will the hours bring today?
