On Saturday my parents invited us to a "Mountain Gold hunt". At this time of the year the gold of the mountains is the sweet, yummy cloudberries. Which can be hard to find, and which we use for the very special Christmas Eve dessert.
The weather forecast promised us a warm and sunny day, and when we woke up Saturday morning it looked promising. We packed our backpacks and found our hikingboots and were soon ready for a day in the mountains.
Unfortunately already when we drove the hour it took us to come to the starting point of our hike, it started to rain. And when we reached the mountain we soon realised that it was too late in the season for the cloudberries. A very few were to be seen, and we found enough to secure the annual Christmas dessert, but soo decided to pick blueberries instead.
Rain did not prevent us from reaching the top though. Our hiking boots are waterproof, and our clothes can be dried when back home. And after all - we are decendants from the stubborn Vikings, aren't we? Enjoy some photos. Marta did take alot of photos as well. Inspired by all your encoraging comments from her last photo post ,she has decided that she will be a photographer when she growns up. She has started to save her earnings for a digital camera of her own, and I have promised her that she can post her photos again one day - and get money from your comments ;-)
