It is harvest time in The Blue Garden. Yesterday I started picking the red currants in the morning, my husband kept on with the black currants in the afternoon.
Spending yesterday at home, I had time enough for reflections when I sat at the blue table purging the berries. My mind started to wander and took me to people I have met lately. People who have given me inspirations in different ways.
When I look back I see a long line of people who have taken me where I am today. My parents, my husband, our kids, close friends are outstanding and first in the line, but here are also alot of other figures. Here is the woman I spoke with for a short time yesterday, here is the man who had a strong story to tell, and who trusted me and believed in me. Here are several bloggers. Here is the teacher from High School whom I didn't realise 30 years ago how important he would be for my development, for who I am today. Here is a writer, and a musician. Here is a painter.here is a young woman struggling with fatal illness, here is a friend who is no longer alive.
This long and colourful chain of people is a heartstring. A strong line of beads which I use as a necklace to show my richness. A richness payed forward to me by people showing me love, showing me friendship, showing me trust, believing in me, pushing me forward.
One day I will make a colourful necklace, weaving their beads, to honor all of you who as taken me where I am and where I still am to go.
In gratitude!
