What do you know about Norway?
In my mailbox yesterday I got a vintage postcard from Pam. The postcard is an advertising card from Singer Sewing Machine Company from 1892.
The front shows a fair, smiling Norwegian girl dressed in a bunad, the back tells the history of Norway.
So here comes the history of my country:
Norway forms the north-west extremity of Europe, occupying the north-west portion of the Scandinavian peninsular. The capital city is Christiania. The country is mountainous and has only the two seasons, summer and winter. The early history is enveloped in fable, the really authentic beginning with "fair-haired Harold" in the ninth century. The people are hardy, intelligent race, fairly educated. The picture represent a typical Norwegian girl in the usual costume of the country.
So, who wants to come up or over to visit these hardy, intelligent people? The Blue Café is ready.
