It is Friday morning, I am sitting here with my oatmeal porridge for breakfast, a mug of hot tea, a glass of juice and the newspaper, Adresseavisen. Enjoying my healthy and ecological breakfast I open the paper and a xl-headline meets my eyes : Nobody Travels to Norway to Eat. The text refers to an examination done in Germany in connection with a Food Fair in Berlin. Alot of Germans travel to Norway, but they come here because of our nature, mountains and fjords, very few of them come because of the Norwegian food, actually most of them know nothing about our food.
This is disheartening for the Norwegian travel industry of course. How can we promote Norwegian food, and the specialities we have here?
Well, you can't say that I am not doing my part of promoting the Norwegian food, can you? I have The Blue Café category here in my House in the Woods, and now I have even started my own food blog, The Blue Café. I have invited every blogger friend over for a meal or more meals, even a bed if you need one, and I am writing again and again and again and.....about my joy of cooking and baking.
So I take it for granted that the next time you get any question on what you know about Norway you will not hesitate but answer in a clear voice. Norway? Sure I know about Norway, the country with so much good food, and the best cafe in the whole wide world; The Blue Café!
Welcome over! I have my booking list ready, and I am working on the menues.
I am proud of my country and its food. You can take a tour to "my food and cooking" following the links given in this post.
