In Norway All Soul's Day is celebrated in connection with it's closest Sunday.
During the holy service yesterday a candle was lit for all who have died in our congregation during the year, and prayers were said.
My mother in law died in March, and during the day our thoughts were taken back to good memories of her, and to my father in law who has lost his life companion.
Home from church we had coffee and home made waffles, and Terje told us childhood memories of his mother. She was ill for so many years, the kids have no or few memories of her from the time before illness hit her, so these memories are blessings to all of us.
