Travelling from Durham to Lindisfarne we drove up north along the coast and stopped in Bamburgh for a cup of tea and fresh scones at The Copper Cettle. Out in the teahouse garden I met these frogs climbing the wall. Aren't they just cute:-)
In August I wrote about another wall which I met in Copenhagen. Looking back now to the reflections I had then, about what to do with the walls in my life, it is interesting, and quite an eye-opener to see what has happend the two months which have passed since then.
Lindisfarne is a flat island, and the only walls to find there are created by human hands. Though, living there, or living other places on this earth, walls surrounds us, and it is often our own choice to decide what to do with them; just let them be there to hide what is behind, climb them like these frogs, walk around, build them down stone by stone, or find a spot in the wall where you can crave root.
Romans 5,2: By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
