A usual Monday in December – woke early, shower, breakfast with Terje and the girls, work. The unusual part of the day was the announcement of the name of the newborn Norwegian prince, Sverre Magnus. I did some Christmas shopping in town after work, the first presents are now bought and soon ready to be sent. At the market they are making everything ready for the annual Christmas market. The first stalls were already up, and I stopped and bought a hot and delicious fishburger. Nearer Christmas we’ll take Marta downtown to buy the Christmas| tree from one of the stalls, and also buy a few other traditional things from the market. I had no camera with me today, so I have no photos from the market, and no photos from the fishmarket where I went afterwards to buy fresh fish for our dinner. One of Torgeir’s wishes when he came home from Australia 10 days ago was out traditional fish meal, cod with potatoes and lefse, and today he got it J
World Championship in handball starts today. We love women’s handball, and will be busy watching the Norwegian team the coming days and weeks. And television time means time to finish the small knitted Christmas ornaments I make this year to stuff my Christmas letters. And also to start a new knitted Christmas sock for my collection. Or to work on one of my many Christmas quilts in progress. Or to address envelopes or finishing the Christmas cards. There are always alot of fun thuings to do during December.
Today’s photo is part of my globe collection. 5 so far, one for each day in December.
