Yesterday, while I was preparing dinner, Marta and her friend asked if they could take a bath. It was a cold day and still about 45 minutes till dinner was ready, so thinking that they wanted a hot tube bath in the bathroom, I said yes. Ha, my surprise was big when I realised that what the girls thought of was an outdoor snow bath :-) With a hot indoor bath afterwards of course.
It was not easy to take good shots of the girls. It was dark and the flash on my camera is not good enough for outdoor photographing. But I did my best :-)
One of our special advent traditions is to read The Christmas Mystery by the Norwegian Jostein Gaarder. This is a story with 24 chapters, one for every day from December 1st and untill Christmas Eve. We follow the littls girl Elisabet from her Christmas shopping in Norway some years ago, and her wandering back in time and south to Betlehem to be there when Christ was born. A wonderful story which can be read year after year. And that's just what we did. Last night we did it with the first candle in the advent wreath lit, around the coffee table filled with "vafler", gløgg and coffee. And later in the evening Marta and I tried a new craft, at least new to us. We made felted hearts, using Christmas red wool and a special long and shart needle to felt the wool and to form the heart. We will make more tonight.
