My parents are moving out of a house which have been in my mother's family since 1930. I have a huge cardboard box in my basement now from the house, with old papers which belonged to my grandpa. He died of cancer in 1958, only two months after I was born. I have been tidying our basement today, to make it ready for Christmas, and had to take just a brief look in the box. Will go through it properly after the holidays. There I found lots and lots of old Christmas cards from grandma Olga, and several religious books from grandpa Benjamin. One of the books was this one from 1932. The Norwegian title De Hellige Engler, means The Holy Angels. It will be a perfect Christmas read for me.
My "angel of the day" is a cute little one which I bought at Malta\Gozo this summer. I spotted him in a craft shop and just knew that this little angel would be perfect in our home. I display him all year long, but lit the candle he is wearing only during Christmas time.
