School break is always playtime. This year I had to work the first two days of Marta's fall break, but now I am ofdf for the rest of the week. And tomorrow our paths take us to the cabin.
But today it was time for the swimming pool. We have a huge swimming pool here in Trondheim, Pirbadet. And today Marta and I spent more than 4 hours there. I did not take any photos inside, but shot several of Marta playing outside the pool after we were finished. It is such a lovely day today, sunny, and quite warm for the season here in Trondheim. Actually a pity to spend the day indoors, but then, the rest of the week we'll be hiking every day in the mountains at cabin :-)
A few days ago we did more playing. This time downtown at the Science Days here in Trondheim. Two huge tents were set up at the market, and inside they were filled with different activities. And everything could be tried for free. Marta tried several activities, one of the favorites was making a dice in origami using 6 different colours. When we first saw the square it looked terrible difficult. Mut it really wasn't. Marta have always loved origami, and made this one in almost no time.
She also made a tin (pewter?) soldier, she made oil and she got to know how a battery works. And a man made a bronse rose for her, starting with the making of the mould. Many of these activities can be done every day at the Science Center, Vitensenteret : http://www.viten.ntnu.no/ We have been members there for many years, and many a rainy Saturday or Sunday have been spent there.
Well, today the sun is up though. I'll use the opportunitu to close here and go out in the garden for some well needed autumn garden work. And a cup of coffee and some apple pie on the west veranda, right outside the kitchen. See you.
