I do my Bible study and my spiritual reading in the mornings. Not every morning, I am not that organized, but as often as possible. For this I have three books. The Bible of course, a notebook which I call my Book of Prayers, where I write down my prayers, and then there is always one more book. A book for spiritual reading.
These days my spiritual reading is The Season of God, by Richard Blackaby.
The Seasons of God is about the different periods in our lives, and how God want us to grow according to the seasons.
How appropriate to recognize and realize that, as the landscape outside my window shows every sign of late autumn, I can acknowledge autumn in my own life. I am 55. I am not a senior in many years yet, still, health issues remind me that my palette is changing. Summer is fading, autumn is on her way.
"autumn can be deeply rewarding....."
"Life is about maturing, and our personal growth reaches its peak in autumn. We weren´t designed to remain static"
