Sunday´s are perfect garden reading days. On my reading menu today is The Writer´s Garden, How gardens inspired our best-loved authors, by Jackie Bennet, with photographs by Richard Hanson.
The book is a lovely travel through a colourful bouquet of British gardens, from Jane Austen at Godmersham and Chawton, via Agatha Christia at Greenway, Beatrix Potter at Hill Top, Roald Dahl at Gipsy House, Winston Churchill at Chartwell, Charles Dickens at Gad´s Hill Place and so on and on and on.
Well known and loved authors, and many of these gardens have been living in my dreams for ages.
Some I might be able to visit for real......some time. Others will continue to live in my dreams.
In real or in dreams, here in the book I have them all :-)
