When we moved into The House in the Woods in the autumn of 2001, the garden was a mess. Many changes have been made over the years, but still a few of the old original plants are growing.
One of the is rosenrot, or Rhodiola rosea.
I have moved it from where it was first planted, and often almost forget it,
it tend to skyly hide among too many other plants,
too many other, more vibrant colours.
Did you know, by the way, that rosenrot can have a very positive effect on your health, improving your mood, alleviating depression, it improves physical and mental health, and may reduce fatigue.
Medicine is made from the roots.
May be I should try to make some one day?
No, I don´t need it.
Enjoying the delicate green and yellow plant is enough for me.
Saying good morning when I pass by on my early morning walk,
hello after dinner,
good night before going to bed....
......is enough for me.
I can feel my mood improving.
