8 of us decided to meet and make dinner together.
Inspired by Cecilia Samartin´s book Mofongo, and her cookbook with the same name, Mofongo, Food for the Soul, we knew exactly what to make.
Green bananas, plantains is not easy to find in Norway, but some small grocery stores selling international food, have them.
None of us had tried mofongo before, but following the recipe closely, we started with the frying of the green bananas.
And to pour surprise, after frying for 15 minues, they got smooth and were easy to form, with bacon, into round balls.
Many hands working together makes cooking a pleasure.
Together with the mofongos we made chicken.
A lot of chicken, with salt and papper, garlic, paprika and squash.
Finally, dinner is ready.
And believe me, cooking together gives you a tremendous appetite.
