A spicy fragrance is finding its way from the kitchen to where I sit in the livingroom. It is Saturday, two of the kids are coming home for dinner and quite contrary to what we usually do, we will eat in front of the telly. Marius is in Vikersund for a ski jump competition which will be shown on television, I, Terje, Marta, Ingrid and Torgeir will watch and cheer.
"Can we have tacos?" Marta asked. Taco in our Blue Cafe vocabulary actually means tortillas filled with minced meat and vegetables, sour cream and taco sauce. As Marta has been a vegetarian for several months now, I also make a vegetable stew to replace the mince meat for her and for others who wants to change meat for a chance.
Garlic, leek, spring onion and onion cut and brased in olive oil. Mushrooms, squash and tomatoes added, then some water and a premade taco spice. Now this stew is left on the oven to cook for an hour........sending out its delicious smell.
