After Christmas is a time for left overs in The Blue Café. I learned a new name for leftovers a few weeks ago: redesigned food. I am good at redesigning :-)
Yesterday turned out quite different than planned, and suddenly the night came and we had done no grocery shopping for the week-end. There is a grocery store close to us which is open on Sundays, but we try not to use it if it is not completelt necessary. I like different days. I like my Sundays to be different.
So when it was time for dinner today it was also time for redesigning some food. Two different types of pasta, some salmon in the fridge, califlower, beetroot and leek, some eggs left over from breakfast. Freshly baked rye bread. Yes, this could really be a feast.
I woked the vegetables in olive oil, sprinkling them softly with salt and pepper. Boiled the pasta, cut the salmon in small pieces. When everything was cooled down I mixed it, and added some more extra virgin olive oil. Decorated with eggs and parsley, and ate with the fresh, still hot, almost sinfully good rye bread.
Yes, redesigned food makes creative and make a feast on a cold January day.
Well! Imagine! I've been a food redesigner since 1966 and never knew it. I do like the colorfulness of your redesigned food. It fits your personality!

"redesigned food"--that is fun, I like that! And love this beautiful food you've prepared--and on such a lovely plate! :o)
