Photographing glass, doors or windows?

I wanted to take a photo of the glass figures displayed in the window. But the day was too bright. All I got was the reflections, or.......

Bakklandet, an old part of Trondheim, is like a small village with its wooden houses.

The Christmas Days are cold and quiet. Shops and most cafes are closed.

A perfect, though icy cold, day for a walk.

A small antique shop

I am in Prague for a few days, and one of the things I enjoy here are the many antique stores. We do have a few in Trondheim as well. Here is one at Bakklandet....which I've never visited. May be I really should go there some day.
