I am having the flu´, or a head cold, or whatever. Stayed home from work Monday and Tuesday. Felt better on Wednesday and went downtown to work for a few hours. Which I shouldn´t have done. Fever came back, and also the joint pains.
So I am back home again.
Spending time in the sofa with books.
Spending time in my studio, writing.
Spending time in healing silence. Or with music. Brahms: Ein Deutsches Requiem with Wiener Philharmoniker. Fauré: Requiem with Cambridge Singers and Members of the City of London Sinfonia, Fauré: Requiem with Academy of St.Martin in the Fields. Vivaldi: Stabat Mater with Andreas Scholl, Ensemble 425 and Chiara Banchini
Much of the writing has been emails to world wide friends. Even connecting a few world wide friends together, watching them agree on meeting dates around the world.
Since I have enough time at hand, something happened which I have never experienced before. My mailbox became empty. I had replied to every single email.
While waiting for new emails to come in, I started to play with my studio companion, my MacBook Pro. Found Photo Booth......and was lost in playing:
I don´t look very happy, do I?
I guess I was too concentrate figuring out this new toy.
Next time there will be more smiles. More laughter.
Finished Philip Roth´s nemesis, a birthday gift from oldest son, amazing book.
Started Ransom Riggs Miss Peregrine´s Home for Peculiar Children. I bpight this book for Marta for Christmas, she went back to the bookshop and traded it for a Justin Bieber biography. Then I went to the bookshop and bought the book for myself :-)
It is a gem. A funny gem.
And spooky. Very spooky.
