Why is it so difficult to find a time during the day for silence?
A time to sit down and still my mind.
A time to open up.
For God.
May be it is not the time. I can always find half an hour, and hour, even several hours from time to time. The hard part is to free my mind for thoughts, worries, the always ongoing task of making plans.
Last spring I spent a few days with the Benedictinian Sisters at Turvey Abbey, north of London. Walking in the bluebell garden stillen my mind, opened it up for something bigger than myself.
Today I will give myself a Bluebell Hour.
And not only today.
Tomorrow as well.
And the day after tomorrow........
