Since I started my gardenblog April 21, I have updated it every singel day. My goal is to keep on with that, excapt from when I travel without internet connection, which I surely do from time to time. Today (Tuesday) I've been in Oslo all day, but as soon as I am home, and finished coffee with Terje, it is time for blogging. Three entries to write, for three blogs. I start with Britt-Arnhild's Blue Garden, and the problems start at once. I am unable to upload the photo I have chosen. I try again and again, but nothing works. I am almost getting desperate....."What is this? This cannot happen when I finally have time to sit down to write my blog entry!!!"
Gardening plays an important part in my life. I have always had a garden, all since I had my own flowerbed as a small girl, with a huge Peace Rose as the crown. This rose was always blooming best when we were away on vacation, and I remember one year a neighbour came over when we came home from our camping to tell us that the rose had bloomed with more than 100 huge flowers at the same time.
I take my daily garden walk. I smell the flowers, enjoy new colours, how are the small seedlings in the vegetable garden today, chew some chives or a birch leave, sit down in the sanctuary for a prayer (I still haven't given the sanctuary a name), I fill the bird feeder. Even tonight when it was raining cats and dogs I have been out in the garden.
I will have my memories then, memories created through long summers, memories gathered in my garden diary and in my thousands of garden photos. And I have the botanical garden here in Trondheim, Ringve Botanical Garden. There I can walk for hours, every day through the whole year and enjoy the everchanging colourdances.
Terje and I did a walk in the botanical gardens and the arboret Sunday afternoon, and all photos are from then.
