Can you imagine a world without colours? A world in black and white? Our first television set was in black and white. I still remember vividly the day we came to my parents after they had bought their first colour TV.

Yes, I can well imagine a television in black and white. But a garden? A garden is created to show off colours. To show the world in all its glory. A playground for God's rainbow.

 
Spring is late this year. My Nordic garden still has a lot of snow. But colour preparations have started. For the time indoors. I am seeding. And I am filled with hope......for a rainbowgarden to come alive.....

In the blues

The blue garden is open. Pots will be filled with love and flowers.

 

Maple red shines best in the autumn sun.

Though we've had several nights with frost now, the red Maple holds her leaves tight. When the low autumn sun hits the leaves, the red shines like fire.

The leaves make a filligree pattern.....I would love a curtain like this in my upstairs studio.

It is Sunday, it is autumn and the garden is ready for a long winter. I have gathered my garden books, my garden magazines, preparing myself for a long winter.
