Day after day after day with more snow falling. The world is white, beautiful, virginal, clean........I enjoy the beauty while my heart longs for spring.
The weather god tells me that the snow which just fell, the one I waved goodbye to, was the last one. As soon as I finished waving the sun shone down on my hand. The sun is tired of playing hide and seek. Now it wants to enjoy the beauty, now it wants to ecco me in my spring dance.
I grab my camera, put on my red Ilse Jacobsen boots and walk out into the Blue Garden.
To rejoyce.
To dance my spring dance.
Back indoors I write in my garden diary about the two magpies building a nest in the huge fir tree, and the two crows teasing them.
After a while I put my feltpen and my diary away. Taking my eyes from the sunny front garden, which can be enjoyed from the window in my studio, I open the garden book I'm reading, the first one this year; Gertrude Jekyll by Sally Festing.
It is March 30th and a new year is about to start in The Blue Garden.
I'm blowing warmer breezes your way, Britt-Arnhild! Unsurprised that you have now had enough of the snow, as beautiful as it may be, and the cold. I think your Spring Dance might have been a rain dance though...that is what is coming my way today :-). The rain is much needed, though - all is good in the garden!
